On the Morgan’s website, Don Brinkley, Partners In Education Board President explained, “This event is open to the public and is an excellent opportunity for our community to show their support for Craven County Schools. Morgan’s is generously donating all proceeds from the breakfast to PIE, who will use the funds to support our local schools through PIE grant programs. Serving our pancakes will be Morgan’s staff along with PIE volunteers consisting of teachers, school staff members, and community supporters.”

Morgan’s Tavern & Grill was festively decorated for the holiday season. Served were: pancakes, bacon, sausage, fruit cup, orange juice, coffee, and water. All for just $7 per adult, and $5 for children 12 and under. Breakfast was served Saturday, December 10, from 7:00 – 10:00 am. Reservations were not required as was a pay at the door event. Debit, credit cards, checks, and cash were accepted.

Diann preferred to stay on our Gemini catamaran, Yacht a Fun, due to the cold morning we were experiencing. I just couldn’t miss such a New Bern oriented event. If we find ourselves here next year, I’ll go again. It was a good food value and added additional perspective to why BoatUS has acknowledged New Bern to be such a great boater friendly place to be.
