NOAA Storm Surge Flooding Map

It’s a new product of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.  If you want an estimate of how high water will be off the ground, you can click to see a static image which does not appear to represent a specific tropical storm’s effects.

Yachtafun, our Gemini sailing catamaran is now located at New Bern, NC.    Storm surge typically is not a huge problem here, but I wanted to know what to expect for the New Bern Grand Marina’s parking lot.    The NOAA Storm Surge Flooding Map confirmed the highest spot away from a potential surge of Hermine as it came up from Florida.
