Sombrero Beach- Marathon Fl

Diann and I got off our Gemini sailing catamaran and drove our Jeep Wrangler over to Sombrero Beach. But not before stopping by Publix for picnic food items.

Sombrero Beach is large, clean, and has two sets of restrooms. We had hoped to find some form of dinghy dockage on site. The only pier is a pedestrian spot with signs indicating no boats are to tie up.

We did see a dinghy which was anchored in front of the beach, but that has the issue of impacting swimmers. Too much risk for me.

The picnic tables are sheltered. We were able to enjoy fresh deli sandwiches and Raspberry Lemonade while a cooling breeze eased through.

The beach is a good destination for spending part of, or a whole day.
