Apples and Bacon (with eggs)

New Bern Grand Marina folks had a party to celebrate Daylight Savings Time.   It can be said that boaters don’t need too much of an excuse to socialize !

Some two dozen folks shared a pot luck that ranged from chips and salsa to a baked shrimp and cheese casserole.  Diann and I chose to take fresh sliced apple sections.  My thought was that any leftover sections could make great sautéed’ apples to go with bacon and eggs.

Diann had a “girl’s brunch” to attend on Sunday.  So I was able to eat all the sautéed  apples, a third a pound of bacon, and two fried eggs.
