LoKal’s logo is such that the last L functions somewhat as a Z, too. It’s a nice play on spelling and reflects the funky atmosphere of this popular Coconut Grove restaurant.
It’s close to CVS Pharmacy and so was a natural spot to stop for lunch. Being dog friendly helped since Zoey was with us.
The burger buns are branded, which looks cool.
Diann’s sandwich was a BLT with avocado.
My burger was a tad overdone, but still quite good. (Next time I’ll order one medium vs. medium-well.)
The beer surprise was that my Pilsner was canned in Brevard North Carolina, which is near our home town of Hickory NC. Go figure- we got served a “LoKal beer” which was local to our home town! I later learned that the Oskar Blues brewery is well known as being tops in its craft.
The menu is diverse as is the beer selection.
